Winterize your irrigation system – In Charlotte our winters are unpredictable, but all it takes is 2 or 3 nights in a row of sub 25 degree temperatures for a backflow preventer to freeze and crack. When that happens it normally involves a lot of leaking water and a costly repair. We recommend avoiding that unnecessary expense by winterizing before cold weather hits.
