The homeowner wanted to add usable space to the back yard without compromising the natural feel. In order to do that, we started by cleaning up the natural area and carefully selected which trees would be removed. Rather than having grass we transformed the back yard into bed space with plants that would offer more natural texture. The lighting accents the patio nicely and allows for the space to be used all hours of the day. The sitting bench and retaining wall enclose the fire pit area nicely and create a spot where the heat of a fire can be enjoyed, while still feeling like you are in the woods.
