With the temperatures cooling down, but the soil still being relatively warm, this is an ideal time to install trees and shrubs.
Planting in fall will allow trees and shrubs time to root in and become adjusted to their new environment with minimal stress. This will give them a better chance to be healthy and strong going into next summer, which will allow them to better withstand the summer stress and will put less pressure on watering. Whenever possible, it is recommended to put plants in the ground during the cooler fall months.
