Camellias are evergreen shrubs known for their attractive blossoms that are seen between fall and spring, when very few other plants are in bloom.
Camellias come in a variety of shapes and sizes, as well as different blossom colors and bloom times. They offer an abundance of color when in bloom, but even when they are not blooming their dark green foliage adds interest to any planting. Camellias prefer to have some shade, but handle warm, southern weather relatively well and are drought tolerant once established. They thrive in our acidic, clay soil and are highly recommended for a wide range of uses.
