Forsythia is a genus of flowering plants in the Olive family, mostly native to Eastern Asia. Forsythia are deciduous plants that can reach 8-10 feet tall. They are known for their bright yellow blossoms that let everyone know spring has arrived. Their yellow flowers are replaced by green foliage that need to be trimmed in order to maintain the size and shape of the plant. Forsythia are a great plant to add early season interest to a mixed planting in the Charlotte area and we highly recommend them.
